In a small village in Western Ukraine, a pretty girl Marichka is going to marry the main character. Before the marriage ceremony is performed, the wise old-timers of the village come to the bride's house, undress her and, singing the ritual songs, spray hot wax on her gorgeous body. Having finished a strange rite, they disguise the baby in embroidery and bless the marriage.
